Suzanne Gordon

SUZANNE GORDON began dancing at the age of 5, receiving ballet and modern dance instruction throughout her elementary school years with the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica in the West Indies. She returned to dancing while in high school, taking classes and performing in the school’s production of “Grease”. She also began cheerleading in high school. As a member of the company at Dance Explosion Ltd. in New York, Suzanne participated in many community performances in addition to semi-annual recitals.  It was here that she began as a student teacher, working with the 7–10 yr. old intermediate classes, and dreamed of someday having her own dance school. In recent years, she has assisted with performance rehearsals for Born to Dance, while her daughter was a student. She has also facilitated a ”mother’s morning out” program, served as team mom for several of her sons’ baseball teams and coached cheerleading (7, 8 yr. olds) for Clayton County Parks and Recreation. At Gym South Gymnastics & Cheerleading in Fayetteville, Georgia, she taught ballet, coached gymnastics and was the director for the all-star cheer program. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Agnes Scott College in 2013, Suzanne realized her dream of owning and operating a dance studio – Art in Motion Dance, LLC. SUZANNE recently began working in an administrative capacity for Ballethnic Dance Company.
