Lisa E. Smalls is a native of Atlanta, GA who has always had a passion for the arts. After graduating from Talladega College in Alabama, she returned to study English Education at Clark Atlanta University. Ms. Smalls spent twenty years as an educator before transitioning into a career in arts management. She is now the academy administrator for Ballethnic Academy of Dance, where she utilizes her skills in project management, curriculum development/implementation, and professional development. The next phase of her journey continues with her pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Arts Management from Winthrop University to advocate for more access to the arts for minorities and underserved communities.
