COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Building Healthier Communities

Ballethnic is committed to building healthier communities by providing programs that make a positive impact in the communities we serve. We offer community members opportunities to develop their interests and skills, connecting the greater Atlanta area residents to the physical, emotional, intellectual, and inspirational world of dance.

Cultural Cul De Sac

Cultural Cul De Sacs are outdoor performances or indoor studio performances presented at the Ballethnic Cheney Street Campus location. These performances are low to no cost providing cultural arts exposure for the community.

Studio Performances

We invite you into our dance home to experience performances at our studio in East Point, GA. Performances include events such as the annual Kwanza Celebration and performances for local community senior centers, day cares and private institutions.

Educational enhancement workshops and training utilize the arts as a partnering tool to assist educators in creating a fun learning environment. There have been workshops in nutrition, communication, social media, and college prep to name a few. Some of our partners include A Dancer’s Heart Foundation and Imani’s Wholistic Health Institute.

Fusion performances are annual live classical and jazz music collaborations produced by Karen R. Banks and Gerald Freeman. Performances include Ballethnic Dance performers and other local jazz and classical artist.
